| Biography: |
My passion for movies dates back to childhood. So.... how did I end up employed in the world of finance? That’s a question I asked myself throughout a 30 year career in banking. It’s a long story. As a hobby, screenwriting helped fulfil my passion. Now that I’m retired, I write full time. I’ve completed six feature length and three short scripts. Several more are in various stages of development. On the production side, I produced and directed a short film. |

It’s the early days of WWII. America hasn’t entered the war yet. Two teenage lads from a small Newfoundland town are eager to join the Navy. Discovering they’re too young, they decide to join the Merchant Marines.
Across the Atlantic, the last of Britain’s deep sea cable ships is sunk by the Germans. Communication cable supplies are low. Preparations are under way for the invasion of Africa and deep sea cable lines need to be repaired. Without a ship and communication cable, the invasion is in jeopardy. A plan is hatched by the Lords of the Admiralty to commission a ship from the Americans and steal communication cable from the enemy. The ship, the John W. McKay, is the same ship the two lads from Newfoundland are assigned too. The cable is two miles below the ocean surface, in U-Boat infested waters. The two lads and the crew are sent on a secret mission to steal the cable. It’s a race against time to reel the cable aboard before the enemy detects and destroys them. |
