Ellen has loved both writing and the entertainment industry since she was very young but never considered combining these two passions until the spring of 2006. Two months later, she was enrolled in the Vancouver Film School with a partial scholarship and that summer she moved from Nova Scotia to British Columbia. Ellen graduated from the Screenwriting program in 2007 and, in February 2008, she placed third overall in Scriptapalooza’s 1-hour TV Spec Script contest with the TV Spec she had written in school. Having completed her first feature, she is now in the process of writing two short films.
