Life sucks for Brody Dawn, a depressed teenage boy with  no friends and no ambition. His life is turned upside-down when a chance encounter with Mary, a woman on the run with miraculous healing powers, draws Brody into a world of conspiracy nobody suspects exists. Intent on helping Mary escape her pursuers, Brody finds reserves of courage and resourcefulness he never knew he had, but he'll soon learn that choosing between being Mary's hero and returning to his comfortable, everyday misery isn't as simple as he thought.

But not every trace of their former home has vanished: mysterious forces scheme, looking to visit tragedies upon Earth that only the three tenuous roommates can stop.
